Hoffenheim has emerged as a formidable contender in the pursuit of highly-talented Hannover defender, Derrick Kohn.

After Angelino departed the club on loan again, the Kraichgauer are hunting for the post on the left lane. The price tag for the Spaniard, who is under contract with RB Leipzig, is too expensive for Hoffenheim (20 million euros).

Kohn, who is under contract until 2025, would be substantially cheaper, but the eleven-time second-division scorer (five goals - six assists) still has a price of six million euros. It remains to be seen if Hanover would gain that much from the negotiations.

However, the huge amount of interested parties may keep the price high. In the Bundesliga, Borussia Monchengladbach (before the transfer of Lukas Ullrich), Mainz 05, VfB Stuttgart, and Bayer Leverkusen have already been moved.

The latter club has previously done well with Alejandro Grimaldo at left back, but Mitchel Bakker is expected to go. Furthermore, Valencia CF is rumored to be interested in Kohn.
