HSV defender Stephan Ambrosius is free to play in derby against St. Pauli

HSV struggled again recording a 3-3 score against Aue, it was only enough for a goalless draw against the promotion competitor Greuther Furth. This means that in the table, the pursuers Holstein Kiel and VfL Bochum are moving closer to HSV.

All clubs are currently tied with 42 points in the table. Only the goal difference separates the aspirants from each other. HSV now has two duels against teams from the lower half of the table in front of their chest. First, the team of coach Daniel Thioune plays against the Wurzburger Kickers, then it goes to the city derby in the Millerntor Stadium.

HSV defense machine Stephan Ambrosius will not be able to play against Würzburg. He received the fifth yellow card in the game against Greuther Furth and is thus banned. Did he get the card on purpose? It is quite possible that the central defender wanted to lock himself free for the city derby against St. Pauli.

Because with Wurzburg, the supposedly easier opponent is waiting for the red pants in the coming game. Since the Kiezkicker are currently running, Ambrosius may have wanted to be there too. In the game against Wurzburg, in addition to the injured Toni Leistner, the second regular player in the central defense is also not available. The question is who should replace Stephan Ambrosius. Perhaps there will be a comeback of Rick van Drongelen, who is fit again after his cruciate ligament tear, which he attributed in part to stress.
