Huddersfield News: Jonas Lossl expects big Man City test; Wagner calls on fans

Published on: 26 November 2017

Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossl expects a busy day against Manchester City.

City have scored 40 goals in 12 league games so far.

"City are probably one of the best teams in Europe. I played against Bayern Munich last year but City are better," he said. "We beat United though, so we know we can do it if we stick together."

Lossl, on-loan from Mainz, admits his style of play can be a risk in the Premier League.

"In Germany, the focus is big on goalkeepers playing with their feet and it's important to how we want to play at Huddersfield as well.

"It is a bigger risk because the players are quicker and the tempo of matches is higher but I need to manage that risk."

Meanwhile, Huddersfield boss David Wagner admits the fans could be key for any chance of an upset.

He said, "I think they play fantastic football, they have a very good manager with Pep (Guardiola) and even though we had experiences with them last year we know what is in front of us.

“If we like to be successful then we know that every individual has to change our personal borderlines on Sunday; this is what we try.

“The good thing is that everyone is aware how exciting this moment will be for us."
