Callum Hudson-Odoi has been ruled out Chelsea's UEFA Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Tuesday night, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed.

The 21-year-old has been on the sidelines for the Blues for the past few weeks, with the youngster last featuring for Chelsea in their FA Cup tie away at Luton Town at the beginning of March.

He was handed an injury setback ahead of their trip to Southampton on Saturday, and will be sidelined for the foreseeable future while he recovers.

"Callum Hudson-Odoi out, Ben Chilwell out, Romelu Lukaku will not travel, Azpilicueta has tested negative and is in the group. Ross Barkley is sick," Tuchel said when speaking to the media ahead of their trip, via football.london.

Hudson-Odoi has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea, scored three goals and provided six assists in the process.

Chelsea will travel to the Spanish capital for the return leg of their quarter-final tie against the La Liga giants, Real Madrid on Tuesday.
