Huge expectation as Black Stars storm favourite ground ‘Baba Yara Stadium’ for Angola showdown

The Black Stars of Ghana will next week storm Kumasi to host their counterpart from Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the next round of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Ghana in the upcoming international break is set to play Angola in the doubleheader clash of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

For the first leg which will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, it will be the national team’s return to a favourite grounds known for giving the Black Stars big wins.

In a game that will be played on Thursday, March 23, fans are expected to fill the stadium to its capacity as has been witnessed in the past when the national team plays in Kumasi.

The game between Ghana and Angola will be the fourth match to be played by either side in Group E of the AFCON qualifiers.

Ghana tops the group with four points but on same points with Angola.

A win for the Black Stars on March 23 will see Ghana open a gap at the top of the standings.

Subsequently, Ghana will take on Angola in the reverse fixture on March 27.
