I agree with Otto Addo; Black Stars will have to improve on certain things – CK Akonnor

Former Ghana international, CK Akonnor has stated that he is confident in the future of the Black Stars.

According to him, Ghanaians should appreciate the recent wins over Mali and Central Africa.

Speaking to Channel One Sports, Coach CK Akonnor said just like Otto Addo said after the two games, the Black Stars need to improve on certain things to become stronger.

“I saw the match against Mali and the way we played was solid. The second match our teams scored three goals so we need to appreciate it. There are things that coach said we need to improve in that game. I understand that and I think the future is very hopeful,” Coach CK Akonnor.

Opening up on what he is up to these days, Otto Addo said, “I’m still in coaching. What is important is that I’m learning in the football circle. I’m happy with what I’ve acquired for myself. As a coach I’m now learning a bit of a technical directorate job.”

Following the two wins in the June international break, the Black Stars are back on track in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
