I am confident we will play Premier League football next season - Elmina Sharks coach Amissah

Elmina Sharks head coach Kobina Amissah is highly optimistic about his side's chances of escaping relegation with 14 games left to play.

The Elmina-based club were beaten 3-2 by Bechem United in a five goal thriller on match week 20 of the Ghana Premier League.

Sharks are currently bottom of the league table with 12 points, having won three, drawn three and lost 14.

"I am confident we will play Premier League football next season," coach Amissah said.

"My players have promised they will fight until the end of the season and I believe we will escape relegation.

"We have a good team who are ready to play their hearts out. Nobody should write us off because it is not over until it is over.

"For now, we will take it game by game and I believe we will stay in the Premier League."

Elmina Sharks will play as guest to Bibiani Gold Stars on match week  21 at the Duns Park on Sunday, March 20 , 2022.
