Asante Kotoko after successfully unveiling their new CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah have set their sights on upgrading their academy to world-class standards.
Several names have been linked to head the Asante Kotoko academy and one of the names that popped up is Bechem United's, Prof. Kwasi Darlington.
Reacting to the reports linking him to the Kotoko Academy position on local radio station Light FM Prof. Darlington said
"I stand in high esteem as one of Ghana's best in terms of young players nurturing but as I speak, I haven't been contacted by any official from Asante Kotoko requesting my service to head their Academy."
"Manhyia Palace and Otumfuo will only have the final say in securing me to work for the Porcupines. That will be the final order where my Boss "Agama" will let me leave to serve Asanteman because there are a lot of projects ongoing at Bechem United." he concluded.
