Former Hearts of Oak captain Yaw Amankwah Mireku stands tall as the sole bearer of an incredible achievement: securing three Caf titles as captain of Accra Hearts of Oak.

Mireku's commitment and exceptional skills propelled his team to unprecedented glory, etching his name in the history books as a true legend of the game.

"I became captain in the 2002/03 season Joe Ansah was there, Emmanuel Osei Kuffour was there, Adjah was there so it wasn't surprising. It made be very determined that God is taking me to another level and therefore I need to prepare towards it," he told Ernest Brew Smith TV

"So I am someone who doesn't joke with discipline yes though senior players like Osei Kuffour where ahead of me but when I talk they listen. I am an example so by God's grace I was able to handle the team to go to Africa Caf champions league and we won it as a captain,"

"I am one of the best captains that Hearts of Oak has ever produced. Since 1911 there is no player to have lifted Super Cup, champions league, caf cup nobody has done that before,"
