Ghana star, Mohammed Kudus, says he still has so much to prove in the upcoming 2024/24 season despite his striking first season in England with West Ham United.

The 23-year-old midfielder proved indispensable for the Hammers last season, featuring in 48 matches across all competitions. His impressive tally of 18 goals and seven assists underscored his pivotal role in the squad.

Kudus, crowned Europe’s top dribbler for the 2023/24 season, secured further acclaim by clinching West Ham’s Goal of the Season accolade. His breathtaking 70-yard solo effort against SC Freiburg in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 captured the imagination of fans worldwide.

Not content with just memorable strikes, the former Ajax star culminated his stellar season with a spectacular overhead kick goal against Manchester City, cementing his status as a true game-changer.

“To start and announce myself, it was quite a good start for me personally [last season], but I believe I still have so much in me that I can still show to everyone.

“We will work on it and try to double how I performed last season and be even better going forward.”

Mohammed Kudus is already in preseason with West Ham and is looking forward to Saturday’s friendly.

“I’m looking forward to getting back out on the pitch against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, and then going out to America very much,” Kudus told whufc.com.

“It is an important preparation for the new season and I’m really excited for it. I’ve heard America is a nice country, so that will be nice to experience as well.

“I’ve been once before, when we [Ghana] played an international game against the USA, but this time around I’m looking forward to spending more time there and preparing for the season ahead.”
