I can’t demand for money before coaching Asante Kotoko – Kwesi Appiah

Former Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah is ready to work for Asante Kotoko for free.

The Porcupine Warriors are currently without a coach following the sacking of Burkinabe trainer Seydou Zerbo over an unimpressive performance in the Ghana Premier League.

Earlier reports in the local media suggested the record Ghana Premier League holders are in talks with the former Black Stars coach to replace Zerbo.

Speaking to KINGSTVGH, the former Ghana international asserted it will be difficult for him to demand for money from Kotoko before working for the club.

“For me, Kotoko have done more than enough for me. I am who I am because of the club, I played and started my coaching from Kotoko”

“It will be difficult for me to demand money before working for them but when we get to the river, we will cross it” he added.

Kwesi Appiah has been without a club since leaving Kenpong Soccer Academy earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will return to action this weekend when they host Premier League leaders, Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium in the matchday 27 games.
