I can't wish Kwesi Appiah best of luck against Ghana - Otto Addo

Otto Addo has confirmed he will not extend his well wishes to former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah, who now leads the Sudan national team, for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

"We all know Kwesi Appiah good guy a gentleman he is a good coach and a good person I really like him. Normally I wish him all the best but against us surely it is not possible," Otto Addo said on the sidelines of a CAF seminar.

Otto Addo's comments come in response to Ghana’s looming doubleheader against Appiah’s Sudan in Group F of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Ghana's recent performances have been underwhelming, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and a 1-1 draw with Niger in Berkane, Morocco.

Ghana will face Sudan in October and is determined to secure victories in both matches to boost their hopes of qualification.
