Veteran Ghana sports journalist, Kwabena Yeboah has disclosed that he developed love for colts football because of the legendary Abedi Pele.

Describing the former Ghana captain as a player whose talent was unmatched, Kwabena Yeboah notes that he would go to the stadium as early as 9am to wait to watch Abedi Pele play.

“Apart from Mohammed Polo, I haven’t seen any player like Abedi Pele in this country. I never saw him flop in a single match.

“And he was the reason I developed love for colts football. Even as a young boy, I used to follow him all over the place,” Kwabena Yeboah said in an interview on Starr FM on Wednesday.

Kwabena Yeboah added, “Those days, we had the first division, second division and colts and Abedi Pele was the reason I was going to the stadium at 9am. I just go there to watch him play.”

Abedi Pele, though retired for years, has been active particularly with the key roles he plays for his sons including Andre Ayew and Andre Dede Ayew.
