Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, George Amoako has revealed that he was not working on good terms with the current board chairman of the Porcupine Warriors and that, he is not surprised that he was axed from his post.

Amoako became a victim of a collapsed management structure as a result of the newly installed Kotoko board’s vision to start a new path to redemption for the Porcupine Warriors.

His tenure, even before it began was full of hope and promise as he had served in several capacities in previous administrations, but reality didn’t match expectations as his reign as C.E.O saw the club take ridiculous decisions on and off the pitch which affected the progress being made.

Following the inauguration of a nine member board of directors of the club, the management of the Kumasi based club were dissolved which included George Amoako.

However, the Ghana Football Association Executive Council member in an interview lamented his relationship with Dr Kwame Kyei broke up along the line and is of the view that, his sacking from the team does not come as a surprise.

Asked if he has a problem with Kwame Kyei, he said, “If he has a problem with me I don’t know. How can I have a problem with him, I don’t”

“I’m surprise at all about my sacking because for most part of our tenure we were not working on a good terms. At the initial stage, things were moving fast, nice and okay but later on I didn’t know what happened” he said.
