I didn’t talk to Michael Essien much about Lyon move - Ernest Nuamah

Ghana teen sensation Ernest Nuamah has disclosed that he didn’t speak to Ghana legend Michael Essien much about his transfer to Olympique Lyonnais.

The former Black Stars midfielder is now working as a coach at Nordsjaelland for over three years now and knows Nuamah well.

Speaking in his first interview with the club after the announcement of h the move on Wednesday, he said the decision to join Lyon was made by him and his team.

“I didn’t really talk to him much about it but I know he played here, and he is also a legend from Ghana.

“He didn’t really play much part in it. The decision was from me and my team.”

Ghana forward Ernest Nuamah will wear the number 37 jersey at Olympique Lyonnais.

He has become the fourth Ghanaian to play for Olympique Lyonnais after Abedi Pele, John Mensah, and Michael Essien.
