Celtic head coach Neil Lennon has revealed that he had a long one on one chat with Jeremie Frimpong concerning the recent poor form of the club.

Celtic had endured three consecutive losses in a row with a 4-2 loss to AC Milan being one of the worst.

Lennon took action afterwards and revealed that he had a talk with the right back on how to get things back on track.

"I've had a chat with a few of them. They are all head-scratching, but they showed on Thursday night what a good team they can be."

"We speak to them individually as well as a group. I had a long chat with Jeremie Frimpong on Thursday afternoon before the game. I had a good half an hour sat with him."

"He was outstanding in the San Siro. I don't know if it had anything to do with our chat, but he played bravely."

"I don't just want to speak to them about football. I want to get to know what's going on with them."

"I want to know how they are getting on in Glasgow with the restrictions, how they're coping. They are also human beings."

"Jeremie was pretty positive about the whole thing and it manifested itself in his performance in Milan."

Frimpong was one of the best young players in the Scottish top flight last season.
