Ghana's Majority Leader in Parliament Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu says he has always preferred Chris Hughton to Otto Addo.

The Premier League manager took over as Black Stars coach in February, with George Boateng and Didi Dramani serving as assistants.

Hughton replaced Otto Addo, who resigned after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Hughton is off to a flying start, winning one and drawing one in his first two games as coach of the national team.

The former Brighton boss led the Black Stars to defeat Angola in Kumasi in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers before sharing spoils in the reverse fixture in Luanda.

According to him, he preferred Hughton to Otto Addo at the time the Ghana FA were in haunt of new trainer.

“Chris Hughton is a good coach. I preferred him to Otto Addo when they were both in reckoning.

“He possess a great talent and he has a great experience in coaching,” Osei told Oyerepa FM.

The Black Stars will return to action next month for the final two games in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Central Africa Republic.
