I have followed the Black Stars all my life – Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo

Bristol City attacker Antoine Semenyo has disclosed he has been following the Black Stars all his life and has therefore expressed his readiness to play in the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Semenyo has been on rich vein of form for Bristol City, scoring 8 goals and providing 12 assists in 30 matches in the English Championship.

He was named in the Black Stars for the 2022 World Cup play-off against Nigeria but unfortunately missed out due to injury.

The 22-year-old in an interview with Happy FM indicated he has followed the national for a longer period and is hoping to join the Black Stars for the AFCON 2023 qualifiers.

“Yeah, I have followed the Black Stars all my life. I always follow the qualifiers. I am hoping to come for the qualifiers in June. I am ready to go. I am ready physically, and mentally to play on the African continent”,

“I haven’t established myself to the Ghana fans and coach so I want to play as many games so I can show the people what I can do”, he added.
