Astute football administrator, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has confirmed his intention to contest for the Ghana Football Association presidential seat insisting he has the requisite competence to lead football in the country.

The country's football governing body's high seat has been vacant since Kwesi Nyantakyi resigned following the airing of the 'Number 12' video by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

The likes of Kurt Okraku, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Alhaji Grusah, George Afriyie have all expressed their interest in occupying the position.

However, the Tema Youth FC bankroller says with the experience he has, he is the right person to lead football in the country.

"I have that expertise to lead the association and strengthen it financially, we have to get the game running from the colts level to the top," he told Takoradi based Connect FM.

"We can do it with all these men behind me," he added.

Mr James Essilfie, Chief Executive Officer of Medeama Sporting Club commented on the Live feed to rally behind Osei Parmer, saying he is the most likely candidate to replace former GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi.

"I support Osei Parmer, he is the best man at the moment."

Mr. J. F. Mensah, defunct member of the association also stated that Palmer was one of the few whom Anas Aremeyaw's monetary bait could not have him handcuffed.

"If some of us are backing Osei Kwaku Palmer then you should know he's one of the few who stood up when the laws of the game was turned upside down.

"Osei Palmer was always first to put things right at Executive Committee meetings. He has integrity and has a lot of experience in how to strengthen the association financially," he deduced.
