The head coach for Legon Cities FC, Bashir Hayford has opened up on his desire to help the team win the Ghana Premier League title during his stint.
The experienced tactician in the past guided Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold SC to league triumphs and is regarded as one of the top coaches in the country.
He was recently appointed as the new head coach of Legon Cities FC following a poor start to the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Now heading into his second game in a clash against Asante Kotoko, Coach Bashir Hayford has looked back to the time he helped the Reds to enjoy league triumph.
According to him, he will hope to guide Legon Cities to enjoy similar success during his time at the capital-based club.
“I remember those days like it was just yesterday, wonderful moments. But I am here at Legon Cities now and I am very happy. I hope that I can win the league title here at some point in time like I did at Kotoko. I look forward to an exciting but difficult game tonight between two tactically disciplined sides," the gaffer told Legon Cities TV in an interview.
The encounter against Asante Kotoko will kick-off this evening at 18:00GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
