I needed rest – Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed on bench warming role

Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed has explained his bench warming role in the just ended season at the club.

The right-back was relegated to the bench in the second half of the Ghana Premier League season following the arrival of Samuel Inkoom.

“Not all players can play in a game. Some will be on the bench while others play and vice versa. I played all the matches last season without a rest. The technical team advised me to take a rest after getting a player who can take over from me, hence my absence in most matches” he said.

Fatawu Mohammed is gradually drafting his name into the legendary books of the Phobians having won five trophies as a captain.
