After his sensational return to Hertha Berlin SC, Kevin-Prince Boateng says he owes his career to the German Bundesliga side.

Having started his career in the youth team of the Berlin-based club, the ex-Black Stars attacker stayed with the side from 1994 to 2007.

After moving on to play for several top European clubs, KP Boateng has this week made a sensational return to his boyhood club.

Speaking after committing to a one-year contract, the experienced forward says he has returned to Hertha Berlin because he wants to give back to the club responsible for the illustrious career he has enjoyed over the last two decades.

“Hertha BSC is not just any club for me. I am here to give something back. I've been around a lot over the years and I've learned a lot, but I owe all of that, my entire career, to this club. I have never forgotten that Hertha was always in my heart,” KP Boateng said as quoted on the website of the club.

The 34-year-old last played for Italian Serie B side AC Monza. In the past, he excelled while playing for clubs such as AC Milan, Sassuolo, Las Palmas, and a host of other teams.
