The former Mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu has implored the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to appoint a top coach to handle the Black Stars.

Just like many Ghanaians the former National Sports Authority (NSA) Board Chairman is disappointed that the national team could not advance to the knockout stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to him, he is shocked that the Ghana FA gave the Black Stars job to Coach Otto Addo for the important World Cup assignment.

“Ghanaians should have complained when the FA appointed Otto Addo ahead of Chris Hughton.

“To be honest, I still don't get it why they took such decision, we must start questioning the FA on how they appoint coaches.

“We have numerous of players that are very good and with a great coach the team will go further. We should scout for a better coach and allow him to appoint his own assistant coaches,” Kojo Bonsu said in an interview with Akoma FM in Kumasi.

The former Kumasi Mayor in the interview urged the Ghana FA to give the Black Stars job to Chris Hughton.
