The current head coach of Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu has tasked everyone involved in the club to sit up following the back-to-back losses suffered by the club.

Asante Kotoko lost 1-0 to Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League and were knocked out of the FA Cup days later after losing 2-1 to Asokwa Deportivo at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Maxwell Konadu confirmed that a crisis meeting took place after the match and also added that everybody should sit up.

“It was important that we did the crisis meeting. I think it was paramount and it has helped us. After the game yesterday, we had a meeting in the dressing room. We went through what already happened and we did some training. After training we met the management and did the crisis,” he told Kotoko Express.

“With what is going on, we [the technical team members] think our management and supporters deserve better than we are doing at the moment and we have made it clear to everybody that it looks as if our desire is still not enough. It is a bit low so I want everybody to sit up and double our efforts so that the team progresses”.

Kotoko are currently placed 5th in the Ghana Premier League after 11 matches.
