The Board Chairman for Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has stressed that he wants the club to be a magnet to attract the best players on the continent as he takes an opposition stance against transferring players to the countries such as Guinea or Congo.

According to business mogul, it is his dream to develop the Ghana Premier League giant into a side that will be the reference point to a modern-day club when it comes to the African continent.

He insists that players moving from Ghana to play in Sudan and other countries not really known as powerhouses as far as football is concerned is not right. Hence, he wants to develop the Phobian club to be the destination for all the best clubs to curb player exodus in the West African country.

“Personally I don’t like the idea of players leaving Hearts and going to Sudan, Guinea or Congo, why should it be? We want to compete with all the others and we want to really be the magnet that will attract players from across the continent", the Hearts of Oak board chairman said in an interview with GTV Sports Plus.

He added, “So we want to make Hearts the preeminent where we will win trophies at that level having an organization structures that are admired and having facilities that are celebrated”.

Meanwhile, work on the club's Pobiman Project is set to commence next week with the club securing a GHS4.5 million to fund the project.
