Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has expressed his readiness to contribute at his new club, Cagliari after joining them last week.

Asamoah penned a short-term deal with the club after successful negotiations and passing his mandatory medicals.

He has been unattached since parting ways with Inter Milan in October last year.

"I am happy to be in Cagliari. I thank the president, the managers and above all the coach," Asamoah said as quoted by cagliarinews24.com

"The team is made up of both experienced and young players and we also have an important coach, I think nothing is missing. I, on my own, want to give the group a great hand."

He added, "I can play in many roles, but I will be ready to play and give my best in any position the coach puts me."

"Even with Juve and Inter I have always played for the Scudetto or for qualification for the Champions League, this does not change my approach to the new reality.

"In Serie A you must always be positive and always give your best."
