Medeama goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi did not have any hard feelings when CK Akonnor opted against adding him to the final 23 squad for the Black Stars.
Charles Kwablan Akonnor selected Richard Ofori, Razak Ablalora and Richard Atta as the three goalkeepers for the double header against Sudan in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers. The local goalkeeper from the list is Richard Atta from Hearts of Oak.
The two games have been postponed until further notice due to COVID-19. Ofori Antwi noted in an interview with Nimde3 FM that they had selected a local goalkeeper from the list.
"I wasn't disappointed when CK Akonnor didn't call me to the Black Stars squad but the truth of the matter is we got a local goalkeeper in the squad."
Antwi has been one of the best goalkeepers in the league so far with excellent performances for his club.
