I will be available for Nations Cup - Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams

Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams has disclosed that he will be available to represent Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 28-year-old has completed a nationality switch to play for the West African country, having played for Spain at Under-21 level and also made one appearance for the senior team in a friendly against Bosnia in 2016.

Williams, who was born in Bilbao to Ghanaian parents joins the likes of Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu, Stephen Ambrosius, Ransford-Yeboah Koningsdorffer, and Patric Pfeiffer to switch nationality and play for Ghana.

"I will be available for the Nations Cup, that’s why I made the choice," Williams said as quoyed by BBC Sport Africa.

"We valued that the next editions will be in the winter, but at the end of the day many European clubs lose their best players.

"Representing the country my parents are from and the country where I feel very loved, I will try to give everything for Ghana."
