I will start learning Serbian more intensively' - Edmund Addo after Red Star Belgrade move

Black Stars midfielder Edmund Addo has disclosed he will start learning Serbian more intensively following his transfer to Red Star Belgrade.

The 23-year-old signed a multi-year deal with the Serbian giants after leaving fellow Serbian outfit Spartak Subotica.

He said he has learned a few phrases of Serbian and will start learning more now his transfer is complete.

"It wasn't easy for me; it's a big change, but for six months, I did everything to adapt to the league and the country. I know a little bit of the language like 'Dobro,' and a few more (laughs)...

"I will start learning the language more intensively," Ado emphasized, noting that he doesn't see his midfield teammates as competition but rather as a support for the team.

Edmund Addo made 16 appearances for Spartak Subotica after joining them in the January transfer window, providing one assist.

He has been named in Chris Hughton's Black Stars squad for the June 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar but was an unused substitute as Ghana drew goalless against the bottom side in the group.
