Former Asante Kotoko poster boy, Sogne Yacouba has expressed his gratitude to the club in a farewell message after joining Young Africans SC.
The Burkina Faso attacker joined the Ghana Premier League record holders in 2018 and went on to become a fan favorite with his impressive performances.
Unfortunately at the end of his contract earlier this year, officials of Asante Kotoko could not tie him down to a new deal. In line with that, both parties went their separate ways.
As reported by footballghana.com earlier this week, Sogne Yacouba has been signed by Young Africans SC to give them a squad boost for the 2020/2021 football season.
In a farewell message to Kotoko, the striker has wished the club all the best going forward.
“It's been a wonderful journey with the Porcupine Warriors family. We celebrated many victories and stood as one family in moments of defeats.
“Asante Kotoko will forever be part of my story. I wish Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC the best of luck for the future. May Allah bless you all”, parts of the statement reads.
