Ibrahim Sulemana, a Ghanaian midfielder, has left an indelible mark on Cagliari's training sessions, garnering the undivided attention and admiration of none other than the coach, Claudio Ranieri.

“Sulemana is the boy I expected, he knows how to recover many balls and he will be useful to us,” Ranieri said after the conclusion of Chatillon-Saint Vincent training camp.

The talented midfielder signed a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until June 2027.

Sulemana's impressive performances in his debut season in the Italian top flight caught the eye of Cagliari, who wasted no time in securing his services.

Sulemana, just 20 years old, rose through the ranks at Hellas Verona, initially playing for the club's U-19 team.

He joined the Verona side after departing from Atalanta, where he had previously settled after leaving Ghana.

The young talent's dedication and skills propelled him to the senior team ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Making his debut in October 2022 as a substitute during Verona's 1-2 loss to Salernitana, Sulemana quickly made an impact.

Over the course of the season, he showcased his abilities in 17 Serie A matches.

The youngster will now join Cagliari, who only returned to the top flight after beating Bari in the promotion playoff under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri.
