If we had more time together, we may have improved even more - Otto Addo

Otto Addo, a former head coach of the Black Stars, believes that if the technical team had more time with the squad before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the team would have performed better.

The 48-year-old was named as the head of the technical staff after Milovan Rajevac was fired in the wake of Ghana's disappointing performance in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Otto Addo resigned after Ghana was beaten 2-0 by Uruguay on Friday evening. Uruguay also exited the tournament after South Korea beat Portugal 2-1.

Speaking at Ghana Football Association's media briefing after Ghana's exit from the Mundial Otto Addo said:

“The windows we had were June, September and World Cup so there was not much time,”

“Surely this is normal. If we will have had more time together, we could have developed even better. I saw a lot of processes and I know it is difficult for a lot of people to understand,”
