If you hear we are disciplining our players please don't go on social media and dismiss us - Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum

In a candid plea to the passionate fan base of Asante Kotoko, coach Prosper Ogum has implored supporters to refrain from dismissing the need for player discipline.

Amid mounting discontent from fans over perceived lapses in squad conduct, Ogum addressed concerns, urging a more nuanced understanding.

The Porcupine Warriors' campaign in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League has been marked by inconsistency, prompting a heightened scrutiny of player behavior both on and off the field.

"I will plead due to the lifestyle and what our noble supporters have posted on social media for us to see we as management Manhyia has directed us to put some rules in place. Rules like time the players will sleep when you hear this please don't go and say that they are not children why treat them this way," he said.

"Because I know that this can happen you will say that these are professional players we have given them a lot of opportunities and treated them us professional players but you brought the evidence so if we sit down and watch then we ourselves we don't deserve to be at where we are," he added.

Asante Kotoko will play Samartex in their next league game.
