Kumasi Asante Kotoko shot stopper Ibrahim Danlad has revealed that Iker Casillas is his main inspiration though he mentioned his admiration for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
Casillas has accomplished a lot during his career with Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. He won two Euros (2008,2012) with his country and a world cup in 2010.
In Real Madrid, he clinched four Champions League trophies among others.
In an interview with ghanacrusader.com, Danlad made his pick among the goalkeepers.
"Iker Casillas is someone who has inspired me especially considering his height. He doesn’t have a goalkeeper’s height but has achieved so much including winning the World Cup, Champions League, among others."
"I do learn alot from other goalkeepers especially how Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea uses his leg to make some impressive saves and the composure of Emmanuel Neur in post for both club and country."
