Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala has embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining Tanzania's powerhouse Simba SC, emphasizing his readiness for the challenges ahead.

Mukwala announced his move via his social media platform, expressing his enthusiasm about joining the perennial contenders in the CAF Champions League on a two-year deal.

He highlighted his awareness of the responsibilities that come with the transition.

“It’s all but a challenge and I am aware of the task ahead. I'm proud to be a new lion in the city,” he wrote on his X page.

During his stint with Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League, Mukwala showcased his prowess by scoring 14 goals in 28 league appearances last season.

Despite his individual success, Kotoko endured a challenging period, failing to secure any trophies during his tenure.

The Porcupine Warriors concluded the 2023-2024 season in sixth place under the guidance of coach Dr. Prosper Ogum, finishing twelve points behind champions, FC Samartex.
