I’m bidding time for the FA Presidency- Madam Linear Addy

Women’s football Chief, Madam Linear Addy has reiterated that she is bidding time for the Football Association Presidency seat.

The Executive Committee member says she is in no rush for the position but will build herself for the right time to contest the position.

President Kwesi Nyantakyi announced he won’t be seeking re-election after his tenure end in 2019. CAF first vice President, Nyantakyi will vacate the seat after 14 years in charge.

Madam Linear Addy has been mentioned as one of the names to contest for the role, however, the astute football administrator says she needs time to consider make a decision.

“For me as a person, I’m bidding time but I think I just don’t have to rush in making decisions to say because Nyantakyi says he is not running in 2019 so I will contest,” she told Happy FM.

“But like I keep on saying when the right time comes, it will show if me, Linear Addy I want to be FA President,

“At the moment it’s not crossed my mind, I am a person who bids my time and I am bidding my time but not now,

“I like the stance of the group that is says its time. Maybe the time is coming and it’s getting closer but maybe not for 2019,

“And 2019 contesting for the FA President has never come to mind. You can’t just stand up and say you are going to contest for the Presidency, you have to plan. Because if you don’t plan you will fail.” She concluded.

The Executive committee member however stated it was early for the President to announce his decision not to contest.
