Interim Hearts of Oak coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru says he is capable of coaching the club and has therefore called on the leadership of the club to give him sometime to turn things around.

The Phobians recently appointed the former Legon Cities trainer as their coach following the sacking of Dutch gaffer Martin Koopman over an unimpressive results.

Abdul Rahim Bashiru led the Phobians to snatch victory over Accra Lions in the week eleven game played at the Accra Sports Stadium last Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, Bashiru asserted he is capable of coaching Hearts of Oak considering the experience he’s gathered so far in his career.

“Of course, I have the capability to lead Hearts of Oak. I have UEFA license B and CAF license A certificates. I have worked with Great Olympics and Legon Cities. I have also coached three Division One clubs”

“So I have the capability to coach Hearts of Oak. Sometimes, you just need the opportunity and I hope the big men of Hearts of Oak will see that and give me a little time to see if I can move the club up” he said.

Hearts of Oak are currently 9th on the Ghana Premier League table with 15 points after 11 games.
