Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has expressed his delight after completing a move to Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

The 32-year-old joined the Phobians on a one-year deal after several weeks of training with Samuel Boadu's side.

Inkoom made his debut against his former employers and league leaders Asante Kotoko on match week 24 of the Premier League on Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium.

He was introduced in the 63rd minute to replace midfielder Gladson Awako in a technical shuffle by coach Samuel Boadu.

"I’m elated to join Accra Hearts of Oak," Inkoom tweeted after the game.

"The journey began last Sunday when I made my debut in Kumasi and it was a great feeling.

"The results weren’t what we were expecting but we live to fight another day. Let’s all help to make the GPL a better one. Phobia!"

Inkoom featured for Asante Kotoko in the 2008-2009 season before he parted for abroad after assisting the Porcupine Warriors to a league title.

The right-back has previously played for 11 clubs, including Swiss giants Basel and FC Dnipro of Ukraine.
