Ghana striker Inaki Williams has heaped praise on his brother Nico after providing an assist in Spain's 1-0 win over Portugal in the UEFA Nations League.

Nico put up an impressive performance as he climbed off the bench to help "the Red Fury" secure a vital victory on Tuesday to ensure top spot in their group.

Portugal dominated the match but last year's finalists Spain stayed in the contest and in the 88th minute Morata scored to silence most of the sold-out stadium after a long ball into the box from Dani Carvajal was headed across goal by Nico Williams.

"I'm not surprised by what my brother does because I'm used to seeing him practically every day," Inaki Williams said.

"I know his abilities, I know he's a great player, he's in incredible shape and I think he can give a lot to Spain Today (yesterday) it has been shown because he has given Morata a good pass.

"The truth is that I am very happy for him".

Spain will be joined in June's finals by Croatia, Italy and the Netherlands, who are expected to host all the games.
