Ghanaian teenager, Malik Pimpong has reacted after signing his first contract with Danish giants FC Midtjylland.
The club on Thursday announced that the talented 15-year-old has inked his first youth contract.
“Malik Pimpong, who is the son of former FC Midtjylland profile Razak Pimpong, has signed his first academy contract in central Jutland,” the Danish club said.
Speaking after signing the deal, Malik Pimpong said he is happy with the contract as he described FC Midtjylland as his favourite club.
“FC Midtjylland has always been my favorite club, and therefore I am incredibly proud to sign this contract. There is a lot of hard work behind it, and now it's about becoming an even bigger profile on my team,” the teenager said as quoted by the club on its website.
Malik Pimpong added, “I see myself as a dangerous striker who loves to score goals. At the same time, I can cover several of the offensive positions in the team. One of my focus areas is to become even more skilled at taking extra runs and sprints for the team, and I will work on improving that in the future.”
The teenager will be hoping to reach his full potential in the near future. He could follow in the footsteps of his father to play for the Black Stars of Ghana.
