“I’m still hoping and praying my good friend Christian Atsu is alive” - Michael Essien

Former Ghana midfielder Michael Essien has expressed his concerns for Christian Atsu, who remains trapped in the rubble four days after the deadly earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria.

Essien took to Instagram on Friday to share his well wishes for his friend and to pray for his safety.

In his post, Essien stated, “I am still hoping and praying my good friend Christian Atsu is still alive.”

He also expressed his condolences for the families of the victims of the disaster and for the people of Turkey and Syria.

He added that every life is important and he hopes that the government of Turkey and people from around the world will continue to provide support to save as many people as possible.

“My heart goes out to all the people of Turkey and Syria especially families of the victims of this tragedy.

“Every life is important and we hope the government of Turkey and people around the world will continue to provide support to save as many people as possible.”

Atsu remains missing and has yet to be seen or reached since the earthquake.
