Black Stars midfielder Edmund Addo says he is thrilled with the atmosphere at Red Star Belgrade following his switch.

The 23-year-old signed a multi-year deal with the Serbian giants after leaving fellow Serbian outfit Spartak Subotica.

Following the completion of the deal, he reveals he is excited to be joining Red Star Belgrade, adding that the club's fans are great.

The former FC Sheriff Tiraspol player also adds that he cannot wait to get started.

"I feel very happy to be in Zvezda. I am thrilled with the atmosphere, I know the fans here are great, and I can't wait to play," Addo said, as quoted by sportal.blic.

Edmund Addo made 16 appearances for Spartak Subotica after joining them in the January transfer window, providing one assist.

He has been named in Chris Hughton's Black Stars squad for the June 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar but was an unused substitute as Ghana drew goalless against the bottom side in the group.
