The 25-year-old registered his name on the scoresheet on Sunday when Genk beat defending champions Club Brugge 3-1 at the Cegeka Arena.

Club Brugge opened the scoring through Hans Vanaken before Genk restored parity through Daniel Munoz as the first half ended 1-1.

After the break, the home team proved their worth and grabbed their second goal through Mark McKenzie before the in-form Ghana forward sealed the win for the host in the 83rd minute mark.

The 25-year-old had scored earlier in the game but his effort was ruled for offside after a VAR review.

Paintsil has been the best player for Genk in the Belgian top-tier this season, having scored 15 times and assisted 12 times in 31 appearances this campaign.
