Spain-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Nico Williams was in action for Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday evening for the Spanish La Liga match against Getafe.
The youngster has been in top form since the start of the 2022/23 football season.
After displaying outstanding performances in September, Nico Williams earned his debut Spain senior national team call-up and featured in games against Switzerland and Portugal.
After the September international break, the talented youngster has continued to perform and is now one of the best attackers at Athletic Bilbao.
Yesterday, the forward’s quality was on display again as he provided an impressive assist to help Bilbao to draw 2-2 against Getafe.
Since that performance, Nico Williams has now received massive backing in Spain to be included in the La Roja final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
At the tournament in Qatar, Spain have been pitted in Group E to face the likes of Costa Rica, Germany, and Japan.
