Athletic Bilbao's game against Real Betis ended goalless at the Benito Villamarin Stadium on Thursday 29th December.

Inaki Williams, who played for Ghana in the World Cup, was a key figure in the encounter between the Andalusians and the Basques.

The Athletic Bilbao striker was able to surpass a League record held by two former Real Madrid players.

Inaki Williams appeared in every Athletic League game in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. He is the first player to have played every Primera matchday for six years in a row.

Ipina and Di Stefano appeared in every game for Real Madrid for five years in a row (1955-1960).

Inaki Williams has made over 350 first-team appearances for the club, including a La Liga record of over 230 consecutive games. He scored the winning goal of the 2020–21 Supercopa de Espana.

This season Inaki Williams has made 15 appearances, scored five goals, and assisted one in the Spanish La Liga.
