'Inconsistent' Man Utd can beat anyone - Ten Hag

Manchester United could go out of European football altogether if they lose to Bayern Munich

Manager Erik Ten Hag says Manchester United can "beat any opponent" as they need to beat Bayern Munich to reach the Champions League last 16.

United must win Tuesday's game and hope Copenhagen draw with Galatasaray in order to progress from Group A.

"We are not consistent but we have good performances," he said. "If we are in the right spirit, we are able to beat any opponent."

Defender Victor Lindelof remains an injury doubt for United.

United suffered a 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth at home in the Premier League on Saturday and have won just one of their five Champions League games.

A draw against Bayern would see them finish third and enter the Europa League group stage, if Galatasaray's game against Copenhagen does not end in a draw.

The German champions were thrashed 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga at the weekend.

England captain Harry Kane has scored 18 goals in 13 league matches since he joined Bayern in the summer.

This is the Red Devils' final group stage game after they lost the away leg 4-3 in Munich in September. The game starts at 20:00 GMT.
