Legon Cities and Bibiani Goldstars shared the spoils on final day of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Royals hoped for a win to climax the campaign on a high but Goldstars proved to be a stronger opponent as both teams settled for a draw in the much-anticipated encounter.

Fredrick Akatuk scored to open the scoring for Legon Cities after just 15 minutes into the game. The home team went to the halftime break with the advantage.

After recess, Bibiani Goldstars staged a comeback to secure a point in the game. Oleva Mohammed leveled the pegging for the visitors in the 78th minute.

Legon Cities narrowly escaped relegation after finishing just a place above the drop zone. The Royals placed 15th in the just ended campaign, accumulating 45 points.

Goldstars finished eleventh on the Ghana Premier League standings with 47 points.

Meanwhile, Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano and Real Tamale United have suffered relegation and are expected the feature in the Division One League next season.
