Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku is all set to commence his pre-season training under the guidance of the renowned coach Jose Mourinho at Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Djiku's remarkable debut season with Fenerbahce has garnered significant attention within the club. The 29-year-old center-back played a pivotal role in 36 games, scoring an impressive three goals and providing two assists.

Mourinho, known for his tactical acumen, is expected to work closely with Djiku to further enhance his skills. The Portuguese manager's appointment marks his first foray into Turkish football, adding another country to his already impressive coaching resume that includes stints in Portugal, England, Italy, and Spain.

Fenerbahce's decision to part ways with their previous manager, Ismail Kartal, came after the club narrowly missed out on the Turkish title to rivals Galatasaray by a mere three points.

Mourinho's arrival at Fenerbahce makes it the tenth club he has managed in his illustrious career. His experience in the Premier League, having managed Chelsea (twice), Tottenham, and Manchester United, will undoubtedly bring a fresh perspective to the Turkish club.

As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Djiku and how he adapts to Mourinho's coaching style.
