Asante Kotoko midfielder Baba Yahaya has vowed to contribute immensely towards the club’s success in the upcoming football season.

The talented midfielder joined the Porcupine Warriors from King Faisal last year to augment the team at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.

Despite scoring two goals and providing five assists in 25 Premier League games, Yahaya expressed he did not live up to expectation in his debut campaign and has therefore promised to do more next season.

Speaking to the club’s media, the former King Faisal star promised to score at least five goals and also provide assist in every single game he plays for the club next campaign.

“I will work hard next season. I’m aiming to score not less than five goals in the upcoming season. I will also do everything possible provide assist in every single game I play”

Asante Kotoko endured a difficult season, finishing sixth on the Ghana Premier League standings.

Meanwhile, the team will commence preparation for the maiden edition of the Democracy Cup slated for July 5, 2025.

The Porcupine Warriors will travel to face Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium next week.
