Real Oviedo has secured the services of Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo, who will be a part of the blues until June 2026.

The 26-year-old midfielder, born on June 24, 1998, in Wa, Ghana, is set to bring his skills to the Spanish club after a successful stint with SD Amorebieta.

Sibo played a pivotal role in SD Amorebieta's promotion to the Second Division in the 2022/23 season. He was a key player in the Basque team, featuring in 41 games, accumulating a total of 3,143 minutes, and scoring one goal.

The African player honed his skills in the youth ranks of Cheetah FC before signing with FC Urartu of the Armenian Premier League in September 2017. His impressive performances caught the attention of English club Watford, who acquired his services, although he spent time on loan at KF Skënderbeu in Albania and UD Ibiza in Spain.

Sibo's time at UD Ibiza was particularly successful, as he helped the team achieve promotion to the second division in the 2020/2021 season. Before joining SD Amorebieta, he played for the reserve team of Real Betis Balompié, featuring in 32 matches in the First Federation and totaling 1,290 minutes.

Pending a medical at the Asturias Clinic, Kwasi Sibo is expected to join the first team training at the start of the preseason.
